PARMA, IL [DOM] – On Thursday, June 25 and Friday, 26, the clergy and faithful of the Cleveland Deanery of the Diocese of the Midwest gathered to celebrate the Feast of the Tikhvin Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos at Holy Trinity Church, Parma OH.
The All Night Vigil was served on Thursday evening and the following day the Divine Liturgy was served followed by a Moleiben. Archpriest Alexander Garklavs, son of the late Mitered Archpriest Sergei Garklavs, the guardian of the icon, directed the choir and offered the homily sharing the history of the Icon as well as insight into the supplicatory power of faith and prayer. A festive lenten meal followed.
