Bishop Matthias ordains two diocesan seminarians at St. Vladimir’s Seminary

CRESTWOOD, NY [MW Diocese Communications] — His Grace, Bishop Matthias made his second visit to Saint Vladimir’s Seminary here as Bishop of Chicago and the Midwest during the fifth weekend of Great Lent 2012.

On Saturday, March 31, Bishop Matthias visited with diocesan seminarians and attended the Baptism of Natalie Ketz, daughter of third year seminarian Subdeacon Jason and Elizabeth Ketz of Saint Mary Cathedral, Minneapolis, MN.  That evening, he presided at the celebration of the Resurrection Vigil in the seminary’s Three Hierarchs Chapel.

During the Sunday Divine Liturgy, Bishop Matthias ordained Deacon David Bozeman, a third year diocesan seminarian from Holy Trinity Church, Overland Park, KS, to the priesthood.  He offered words of congratulation and encouragement to Father David, his wife Amy, and their children Judah and Asher.  He also ordained Subdeacon Jason Ketz to the diaconate.  In addition to his wife Elizabeth, the Ketzes’ three children — Patrick, Sophia, and Natalie — were in attendance.  (Article photos courtesy of Tatiana Hoff)  Additional photo galleries and articles can be found here and here.
