Archbishop Welcomed by Michigan Faithful on the Second Day of Nativity

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI [DOM] – On Sunday, December 26, 2021, the Synaxis of the Theotokos, the faithful of St. Mark Orthodox Church in Rochester Hill, MI welcomed their Archpastor, Archbishop Paul, to celebrate the second day of Nativity.

The Archbishop was greeted by Archpriest John Baker and Protodeacon Luke Gonser of St Nicholas Bulgarian Orthodox Church (OCA), Burton MI.

During his parish visit, His Eminence tonsured John (Dion) Roddy and Andrew Wassell and Alexander (Mason) Baker as Readers. Following the tonsuring of the Readers, Alexander, the former assistant to the Archbishop, was then ordained to the order of Subdeaconate.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Paul installed Fr. John as the Rector of the parish, and wished Fr. John and the community continued blessings in their spiritual labors.
