Greater Cleveland Council of Orthodox Clergy to Celebrate Orthodoxy Sunday

CLEVELAND, OH [DOM] – The Sunday of Orthodoxy will be commemorated in Cleveland, OH by gathering the local parishes in commemoration of the restoration of icons in the 800’s after the iconoclast heresy.

Clergy and faithful of greater Cleveland will come together to serve Great Vespers on March 13, at 5:00 P.M. and will process with holy icons. The main celebrant and homilist for this festive gathering will be His Eminence, the Most Reverend Michael, Archbishop of New York and the Diocese of New York & New Jersey (OCA).

The service will be held at Saint Matthew the Evangelist Antiochian Orthodox Church, located at 10383 Albion Road, North Royalton, OH 44133. Fellowship and refreshments will be held in the Church Hall following the service. The gathering is sponsored by the Greater Cleveland Council of Orthodox Clergy.
