Diocesan Assembly date changed to coincide with 17th All-American Council

Diocesan Assembly date changed to coincide with 17th All-American Council
CHICAGO, IL [MW Diocese Communications] — Due to the convocation of the 17th All-American Council at Holy Trinity Church, Parma, OH on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, the 51st Assembly of the Diocese of the Midwest has been rescheduled for Monday, November 12.  Previously, it was announced that the Assembly would take place in Cleveland in early October.

Holding the Assembly in conjunction with the special electoral All-American Council will reduce delegates’ travel and related expenses.

While the All-American Council will be held in Parma, the Assembly will be held at Archangel Michael Church, Broadview Heights, OH.  A block of rooms has been reserved at a group rate at a hotel in close proximity to both sites.

Delegates are asked to arrive on Sunday evening, November 11.

While the schedule and agenda have yet to be finalized, the Bishop’s and Diocesan Councils will meet on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. respectively.  General registration and an open house reception will begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 10:00.

Registration will continue at 7:30 a.m. Monday, November 12, followed by breakfast and the opening Service of Prayer at Archangel Michael Church.  The first plenary session will follow.

The second plenary session will begin at 1:30 p.m.  Closing prayers and installation will be held at 5:00 p.m.

Additional information concerning the schedule and agenda, registration, and related matters will be posted on the diocesan web site as it becomes available.
