Hiram, OH’s St. John Skete initiates on-line web store
HIRAM, OH [MW Diocese Communications] — The Skete of Saint John the Theologian here — a dependency of Holy Cross Monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Wayne, WV — recently launched its new web site at www.stjohnskete.com.
Featured on the web site are a variety of Church goods made available by the Skete’s brotherhood.
“The Church goods business that had been available on for several decades, largely visible only by walk-in customers or by e-mailing photos, is now fully on-line,” said the Skete’s Hieromonk Nektarios. “This makes our unique Church goods web store available to everyone across the nation, and also in Canada and Mexico.”
The Skete has a variety of goods available, including vestments, altar appointments, incense, pectoral and baptismal crosses, icons and other items and reasonable prices.
“Purchasing items from our web site also helps to support an Orthodox Christian monastery,” Father Nektarios said, adding that the brotherhood hopes that the clergy and faithful of the Diocese of the Midwest will rely on the Skete’s web store for all of their Church supply needs.
