Chicago’s Holy Trinity Cathedral to celebrate patronal feast day
CHICAGO, IL [MW Diocese Communications] — Priest Alexander Koranda and the clergy and faithful of Chicago’s historic Holy Trinity Cathedral will celebrate their Patronal Feast May 26-28, 2018.
The weekend will open on Soul Saturday, May 26, with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. The Vigil for the Great Feast of Pentecost will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m.
On Pentecost Sunday, May 27, His Grace, Bishop Paul of Chicago will preside at the celebration of the festal Divine Liturgy. His Grace will enter the cathedral at 9:00 a.m. The Divine Liturgy will begin after the Vesting. Pentecost Vespers will be celebrated at the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy. A festive patronal fellowship gathering will follow.
Bishop Paul also will preside at the celebration of the Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Holy Spirit on Monday, May 28, at which area clergy will concelebrate. A patronal cookout will follow the Liturgy.
