St. Innocent Church, Olmsted Falls, OH to sponsor lenten retreat April 5-6
OLMSTED FALLS, OH [MW Diocese Communications] — Saint Innocent Parish will sponsor a retreat titled “Despondency and Great Lent: Redeeming the Time Through Hope, Repentance and Thanksgiving” on Friday and Saturday, April 5-6, 2019.
The retreat speaker will be Dr. Nicole Roccas, an adjunct faculty member at the Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College, Toronto, ON, Canada and author of Time and Despondency: Regaining the Present in Faith and Life. She is also well known for her Ancient Faith blog and podcast, Time Eternal.
Signed copies of Dr. Roccas’ book will be available for purchase during the retreat.
The first retreat session will be held at Saint Innocent Church, 8526 Usher Road, Olmsted Falls, OH on Friday, April 5, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Dr. Roccas’ topic will be “Time, Despondency and Great Lent.” On Saturday, April 6, she will speak on “Redeeming the Past: Remembering ‘Wasted Time’” from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Admission is free. Free will offerings will be appreciated.
