Prayers Requested for Archbishop David of Alaska

BURBANK, IL [DOM Communications] – This past week, His Eminence Archbishop David of Sitka and Alaska made an announcement about his recent  diagnosis of renal cancer.

His Eminence made a formal announcement to his diocese on October 5th stating, “I have been diagnosed with renal cancer and will be receiving care in Indiana in the coming weeks. I want to assure you of my love and arch-pastoral prayers on your behalf even as I have to leave Alaska. I ask for you to remember me in your daily prayers. We will post regular updates on this page to keep you informed of my progress.”

His Eminence will travel to Indiana, where he will undergo further testing and treatment at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, while living with his family.

His Eminence Archbishop Paul requests that the clergy and faithful of the Diocese of the Midwest remember his dear brother, Archbishop David, in their prayers.
