08.15.07 CTS CHICAGO
On Wednesday August 15 Christ the Savior Church, His Emience Archbishop JOB's chapel pairsh, celebrated the eve of its Patronal Feast with Great Vespers and Litya. Before the celebration of Great Vespers His Eminence blessed the parish's new iconostasis which was installed in May.
7.15.07 LIBERTYVILLE, IL
On Sunday July 15, His Eminence Archbishop JOB participated in the annual St Nikolai of Zicha pilgrimage to St Sava Monastery in Libertyville, Illinois.
His Eminence concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with His Eminence Metropolitan Christopher, His Grace Bishop Longin and His Grace Bishop Mitrophan.
7.01.07 BURR RIDGE
On Saturday and Sunday, June 30 and July 1, His Beatitude Metropolitan HERMAN, His Eminence Archbishop JOB and His Grace Bishop TIKHON participated in the 75th Anniversary celebration of St Peter and St Paul Orthodox Church in Burr Ridge, Illinois.
Both Archbishop JOB and Bishop TIKHON are son's of the parish which was originally located on the south side of the city of Chicago.
6.17.07 EAGAN
On June 16/17, His Eminence paid an Archpastoral visit to St Elizabeth Orthodox Mission in Eagan, Minnesota.
During the Vespers service of Saturday evening His Eminence, on behalf of the Holy Syond of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America, awarded Fr Andrew Jaye the Gold Cross. Also, at vespers, Archbishop JOB blessed Elijah Zitzloff, Khalid Khoury, Matthew Larionov, Jeremiah Zitzloff, Sasha Schtowchan, Micah Zitzloff and Martin Khoury to wear the Subdiaconal Orarion.
At the conclusion of the Vespers service ground was broken for the new home of St Elizabeth Mission. His Eminence, Clergy and faithful processed from the present worship space, a funeral home, to a newly acquired plot of land where ground was broken and a cross was planted in the place where the church will stand.
06.25.07 Anoka
On Monday June 25 parishes throughout the Diocese of the Midwest observed a day of prayer and fasting for the Orthodox Church in America. A number of communities within the Minneapolis deanery gathered together at Christ the Savior Mission in Anoka, MN to offer the Moblieben for the salvation of our church and the appeasing in it of discord and strife. The same service was also offered at the Deanery Cathedral, St Mary's.
